b.e.l-m.a.r town wide garage sale day

There is something really fun and kind of weird about garage sales. People are going out of their way to really try and convince you that their old stuff is worth buying. As if we all don't know the leftover are going in the trash the day after. Unless of course you come across the people with those hidden gems like personal sword collections or maybe a life size Willie Nelson replica which has a wireless microphone activated mouth to make it look like he is saying whatever you are. The garage sale is like the pregame for the bbq season and honestlly I couldn't think of something that is any more American. I have no idea why it took me this long to photgraph a series about them, but I am glad I did. I really think that these are some of my stronger images of the last couple years. Here is just a small glimpse. I will probably be putting up a whole section of 25 or so photos on my site: www.MaximRyazansky.com later this week.
